Justly Privacy Policy

Effective Date: 15 February 2025

Justly ("Justly," "we," "us," or "our") respects your right to privacy and understands the importance of protecting your personal data ("Data"). This Privacy Policy ("Policy") describes how we collect, use, store, and share your Data when you:

  • Visit our website(s) ("Website"),
  • Complete any questionnaires or forms we may provide,
  • Subscribe to and use our Justly mobile application ("Application"),
  • Interact with our goals and well-being services (collectively, the "Services"),
  • Or access any other features that we operate.

By using our Services, you consent to our collection, storage, processing, and sharing of your Data as described in this Policy.

1. Who We Are

Justly is a service dedicated to helping users set, track, and achieve personal goals while maintaining mental and physical well-being. We provide coaching, habit-tracking, reflection prompts, and other related features.

2. Scope of This Policy

This Policy covers personal data we process as a data controller (or jointly with other controllers, as applicable). In certain instances—such as when we use third-party processors for cloud hosting or payment processing—those parties may also act as data processors or joint controllers under relevant laws.

We reserve the right to update this Policy from time to time. If we do, we will post notice of the changes on the Website and/or within our Application. Continued use of our Services after any posted modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.

3. Types of Data We Collect

We collect Data in two main ways: the information you voluntarily provide us and the information we automatically collect when you use our Services.

3.1 Data You Voluntarily Provide

  2. Well-Being & Goal-Related Information: Health, wellness, and habit-related details you share to personalize your experience.
  3. Communications: Content of messages or support inquiries you send us.

You can choose not to provide certain information; however, not doing so may limit your ability to access some features of our Services.

3.2 Data We Automatically Collect

  1. Usage Information: Activities you log (e.g., habits, goals, accomplishments, progress).
  2. Device & Connection Details: IP address, operating system, browser type, mobile device type, device IDs, and certain log data.
  3. Information from Others: If other users share information about you (e.g., sending you checklists or collaborative content), we may process that data as well.

4. How We Use Your Data

We process your Data for the following purposes:

  1. Service Provision:
    1. To create and maintain your account, personalize your experience, and administer our Services.
  2. User Support and Communication:
    1. To respond to your questions, address technical issues, and send necessary account or transactional updates.

    1. To create aggregated or anonymized data that we might use for internal metrics, performance analysis, or additional offerings.
  7. Security:
    1. To secure our Services, servers, and user data, including detecting and responding to suspicious activities.

5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar tools (e.g., web beacons) to collect information automatically. These cookies allow us to:

  • Recognize you when you return to our Website or Application,
  • Store preferences and settings,
  • Personalize your user experience,
  • Analyze traffic and usage patterns,
  • Promote Justly or third-party services relevant to your interests,
  • Prevent and detect fraud.

You can control some cookies via your browser settings or third-party tools; however, declining certain cookies may affect the availability and functionality of our Services.

6. Where and How We Store Your Data

We store your Data on secure servers. Depending on your region, data may be hosted in or transferred to servers that may be located outside your country of residence. We maintain appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect Data against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, or unauthorized disclosure or access.

We retain your Data for as long as it is necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, and to comply with legal or regulatory requirements. Once these purposes have been met, we will either delete or anonymize your Data, unless we are legally required or permitted to maintain it for a longer period.

7. International Data Transfers

If you are located outside the region where our primary servers are hosted, we may transfer your Data across borders in compliance with applicable law. When transferring Data from European users, we implement appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses) as required by the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

8. Keeping Your Data Secure

We implement commercially reasonable security measures—both technical and organizational—to help protect your Data. These measures include encryption (e.g., SSL) in transit, encryption at rest, physical security controls, and internal access restrictions.

No security system is foolproof, so we encourage you to adopt safe practices, such as safeguarding passwords, using multi-factor authentication if available, and preventing unauthorized access to your devices.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  1. Access Your Data: Request details about the Data we hold about you and receive a copy.
  2. Rectify or Updates: Correct inaccuracies in your personal information or update your profile.
  3. Erase: Ask us to delete or remove your Data where there is no valid reason for its continued use.
  4. Restrict Processing: Request we restrict how we process your Data in certain situations.
  5. Data Portability: Obtain a copy of your Data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format when technically feasible.
  6. Object: Object to certain processing of your Data, such as direct marketing.
  7. Withdraw Consent: When processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time.

If you wish to exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@justly.life. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe, subject to any legal requirements or exceptions.

10. Protection of Minors

Justly does not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age where parental consent is required by applicable law. If you are under the age of 18, you must have a parent or guardian’s consent to use our Services, and we may request age verification or parental/guardian permission. If we discover that we have collected Data from a child without proper consent, we will promptly delete it.

11. Sharing and Disclosure of Data

We share your Data under these circumstances:

  1. Service Providers: Third-party vendors (e.g., hosting, payment processors, email service providers) who process Data on our behalf. They are obligated to protect your Data and may only use it for specific tasks based on our instructions.
  2. Business Transactions: As part of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets. In such events, your Data may be transferred as part of the business deal, subject to confidentiality requirements.
  3. Legal Requirements: If required by law, court order, or in response to a lawful request by a regulatory body. We may also disclose Data when necessary to enforce our agreements or protect the rights, property, or safety of Justly, our users, or others.
  4. With Your Consent: Where you have provided explicit consent for us to share Data with specific third parties.

12. Third-Party Links and Content

Our Services may contain links to third-party websites or content. We do not control these third parties or their privacy practices, and this Policy does not cover their actions. We recommend reading the privacy policies of any external site or service you visit.

Similarly, we may partner with third-party advertisers or ad networks (such as social media platforms) that use cookies or similar technologies to display ads based on your interests. Data you share within our Application is not directly shared with these advertisers unless you give explicit consent. For questions about third-party ads, please contact the relevant advertiser.
